Two or three years ago, I considered myself young. But I feel so old now. Many goals haven't been achieved yet. For one, I haven't married a super-rich-sexy-and-pretty girl who is also a billionaire's daughter yet. And pretty soon, I will not be eligible for youth discounts (eligible for those who are less than 26 years old only) when traveling.
But hey, it still counts for celebration. For the last few years, for my birthdays, I usually had something big or gave myself something. Let's see go back in time. Three years ago in 2008, I graduated summa cum laude and landed my first (and still current) job (see this post). Two years ago in 2009, I bought a Sony DSLR camera and I traveled to Bangkok. A year ago in 2010, well nothing big, I saved some money. And this year in 2011, I consider my next big trip as my birthday present. What an expensive gift indeed, but a long deserved one. I worked hard to get to this point and now I'm going to enjoy it, if only one can enjoy spending most of one's saving.
Anyway, I want to say thanks to everyone for wishing me a happy birthday, success, and best of luck. I wish you all the same things too. Thanks so much for my colleagues who celebrated my birthday in the office and gave me delicious cake.
