My Schengen Visa is finally approved! As a matter of fact, I got the visa stamped on my passport since December 29, 2010. I had kept it a secret for sometime now as I was waiting for it to be officially approved and I didn't want to jinx it.
The visa that I get is a multi-entry short stay visa allowing me to enter and travel in Schengen space for up to 90 days maximum in 6 months, with validity period from March 3 to August 25, 2011.
My long trip will start in 2 months from now and I am planning on using those 90 days fully. This was basically what I mentioned vaguely in my last post (item #13) as I was still unsure when I would announce this.
More details are coming soon. Stay tuned!

Hi there!
ReplyDeleteThanks for putting up all the info about schengen visa!
I have one question, how long does it take for the immigration to approve ur visa? I'm a little worried here, i applied my visa on 30th November but i have to travel to another country on 21th December. I'm not sure if i can make it.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Hi Debby, it depends on your nationality and maybe which embassy you applied to. For visa applied in French embassy: www.ambafrance-sg.org/Visa-processing-times
ReplyDeleteAllow 3 additional days for final decision where they hold your passport.
Good luck!
Hi Steward
ReplyDeleteI'm holding Indonesia passport. The processing time is that inclusive of the 3 work days for Final decision?
In that case your processing time is about 10 to 20 working days + another 3 working days.
ReplyDeleteI'm crossing my fingers here....
ReplyDeleteOne last question.
I understand once they have process the visa (first approval), they will need another 3 Work days for the final decision.
Do we need another appointment to submit our passport? Is there a time line when you have to submit your passport?
Regularly check the website that they ask you to check. Once the result is out and your visa is approved, they will ask you to come to the embassy immediately. So the 3 days is from that date.
